The EW-DCDC-ASSY580 DC-to-DC converter is a low-cost and high-reliability solution for those requiring 48V DC Power over Ethernet voltage from a 12V or 24V battery system. It has an integrated POE injector to apply 48V DC to a Cat. 5 Ethernet cable. The output is regulated 48V DC from an input voltage of 9V to 36V DC. It has two isolated inputs for connecting two power sources, like a primary and backup power source, and a metal enclosure for industrial applications. It accepts data-in to a shielded RJ-45 jack and provides data-out and PoE power on the shielded RJ-45 output jack. It supplies power on the unused Ethernet pins 4,5(V+) and 7,8(V-). It has various protections for surges, short circuits, and overloads. The unit has a power output of up to 24W and is DIN-rail mountable.
