Designed for large-scale data storage, the SA3600 12-Bay NAS Enclosure from Synology is 2U rackmount server with flexible storage scalability and performance. Its comprehensive data protection solutions, including multi-version backup for server and virtual machines, hybrid cloud integration, and high-availability technology support make it a reliable server for massive storage deployment. This unit has 12 drive bays, each of which natively supports 3.5 in. SAS/SATA hard drives, as well as 2.5 in. SAS/SATA hard drives and SSDs. Should users need to expand the overall capacity of their SA3600, the optional RX1217sas expansion unit offers an additional 12 drive bays, while the RX2417sas expansion unit offers an additional 24 drive bays. Seven of either unit is supported via an integrated expansion port. Using aggregated 10Gb Ethernet, this NAS can deliver sequential throughputs of 5561 MB/s.

The SA3600 is powered by a 2.1 GHz Intel Xeon D-1567 12-Core processor, which will allow you to run multiple functions simultaneously. The built-in 16GB of DDR4 ECC RAM will allow quick access to frequently used files and programs and may also be upgraded to a total of 128GB by installing four 32GB modules into the available memory slots. Also featured are two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, which allow it to be connected to your Windows or Mac system. Network connectivity is achieved via the two 10 Gigabit Ethernet four Gigabit Ethernet ports with failover support, which help to provide redundancy in the case that a LAN connection malfunction occurs on one port. In addition, link aggregation helps to increase connection speeds beyond the limits of a single network port or cable.
