Axiomtek’s NA-200A, a cost-effective entry
level network appliance is powered by a system-on-a-chip
Intel EP80579 1.2GHz processor embedded SKU for SOHO market.
The Intel EP80579 is the first in a series of breakthrough
system on-a-chip (SOC) processors that combined a memory
controller hub, an I/O controller hub and a CPU, delivering
excellent performance-per-watt for small form factor designs.
Sized only 44× 220 x 151 mm, the NA-200A comes with six
high-speed Gigabit LAN ports. Moreover, the NA-200A supports one
DDR2 SODIMM None-ECC memory, plus an optional DDR2 SOCDIMM ECC
memory. The Intel EP80579 Integrated Processor with
Intel QuickAssist Technology combined a memory controller
hub, an I/O controller hub, a CPU, and a security co-processor
into one, which simplifies and speeds up platform design while
bringing the benefits of smaller footprint, reducing power
consumption up to 34%, improving computing performance to 55%
higher than similar products, and comprehensive I/O.
