Description
The Dragino RS485-LS is a versatile RS485/UART to LoRaWAN converter designed for Internet of Things solutions. It seamlessly connects RS485 or UART sensors to the converter, enabling periodic reading of sensor data and uploading via the LoRaWAN network to your IoT server.
With interfaces for RS485 sensors, 3.3/5 V UART sensors, or interrupt sensors, the RS485-LS provides flexible connectivity options. It features both 3.3 V and 5 V outputs to power external sensors, with controllable voltages to optimize system power consumption.
IP67 waterproof and powered by an 8500 mAh Li/SOCl₂ battery or solar power with a Li-ion battery, the RS485-LS is designed for long-term use over several years.
Operating on standard LoRaWAN 1.0.3 in Class A, the RS485-LS offers long transfer range and easy integration with LoRaWAN compatible gateways and IoT servers.
It facilitates data uplink by sending user-defined commands to RS485 devices and processing return data according to user-defined rules for payload upload to the LoRaWAN server. For data downlink, it seamlessly forwards commands from the LoRaWAN server to RS485 devices.
Additionally, the RS485-LS supports BLE configuration and wireless OTA updates, ensuring ease of use for the user.
Each RS485-LS comes preloaded with a set of unique keys for LoRaWAN registration, simplifying the registration process and enabling automatic connection after power-on.
The RS485-LS model is specifically designed for solar power with a Li-ion battery backup, providing an environmentally friendly and sustainable power option.
