The TTU-3640™ is a next generation trailer tracking product that includes a range of wireless and peripheral connectivity options and is equipped with CalAmp’s purpose-built vehicle interface technologies for both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles.
The TTU-3640™ is designed to support enterprise customers requiring a full set of fleet features with cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity options to LTE networks, plus a triple-axis accelerometer that detects and acts on hard braking, aggressive acceleration, or vehicle impacts. Messages are transported across the cellular network using enhanced SMS, UDP, or TCP messaging, providing a reliable communications link between the device and your application servers. The built-in ECU (Engine Control Unit) interface reads and transmits engine condition and performance data such as engine temperature and fault codes from both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles to provide the best possible real-time picture of vehicle health.
The TTU-3640™ employs CalAmp’s industry-leading on-board alert engine, PEG™ (Programmable Event Generator). This advanced engine monitors external conditions and supports customer-defined, expectation-based rules to help meet the needs of your application. PEG continuously monitors the vehicle environment and responds instananeously to pre-defined threshold conditions related to time, date, motion, location, geo-zone, input, and other event combinations. With PEG™, your unique application will meet demanding customer requirements. This behavior can be programmed by CalAmp before shipment at a customer’s facility, or over-the-air once the unit has been fielded
The TTU-3640™ also leverages CalAmp’s management and maintenance system, PULS™ (Programming, Updates, and Logistics System), for over-the-air configuration parameters, PEG™ rules and fireware. This out-of-box, hands-free configuration and automatic post-installation upgrades can monitor unit health status across your fleets to identify issues before they become expensive problems.
