Description
The Dragino NMDS200 is an NB-IoT microwave radar distance sensor for IoT solutions. NMDS200 can measure two distances, the closest object and the next object behind the closest one, with a measuring range of 0.5 m to 20 m (±0.1 m). It uses a 24 GHz microwave to detect the distance between the sensor and the objects of concern. Compared to alternative distance sensor methods such as ultrasonic or LiDAR, microwave radar is more reliable in wet or dusty environments; the NMDS200 can sense the correct distance even when there is water or thick dust is on top of the sensor.
Using NB-IoT technology, the NMDS200 has significantly reduced power consumption and increased efficiency, most notably in areas with deep coverage. The NMDS200 is powered by an 8500 mAh Li-SOCl₂ battery designed for long-term use.
